Any Propane heads out there?

I've done a few car conversions to gas and was wondering if there's anyone out there running two-stroke boat motors this way? Oil injection required I'd have thought ;)

I have a 78 toyota fj40 rockcrawler I had converted to BBQ juice. It all was recently pulled off, because I am doing an LT1 swap in it.

Coast Guard has strick rules on propane being on a boat. probably costly to meet the standards.

Re: Any Propane heads out there?

Propane is heavier than air and will collect in the bilge of the boat, hence the USCG restrictions. Natural Gas is lighter than air, and could do the same job.

All 2 cycle outboards except for DI models, mix the oil with the gasoline in the fuel pump. This would be an issue if the gasoline was replaced with natural gas, I would think. My old 2 cycle oil injected motorcycle used to pump the oil into the intake air stream, rather than mix it with the gasoline. If the outboard could be successfully converted to inject oil this way, than a natural gas conversion could work.
