Dinghy

I've been wanting a dinghy for a couple years but they seem to cost more than a runabout. I haven't figured that one out.
Well, I had a friend give me a 14' aluminum jon boat that was set up like a bass boat. I stripped all the superstructure off, turned it upside down on sawhorses and got out the saw. I was about 3/4 of the way through when my wife came out and asked if I was doing what she thought I was doing. I dunno, what do you think I'm doing? She said "I think you're cutting a perfectly good boat in half". Yep, that's what I'm doing. She should know better by know. Moved the transom up, sealed it and riveted. Viola, 7' dinghy.

No. In fact I am going to give to a friend of mine who has vision of sticking a 15 hp on the back. Think it outta move?
As it turns out, it's too wide for me to row unless I come up with 10' oars.
