Re: well i bought one. pics added

I spent a month on mine and I'm still doing things to it, new bimini, new carpet, removable bait well, anchor box, rear storage boxes, pole holders,2batteries a switch, trolling motor, sterieo, depth finder, new tires and bearings, stainless winch cable, carpet on the bunks , rebuilt the carbs, and the power trim,12 gal fuel tank and a new oil tank. water pump impeller and a bunch of other stuff.
I now have the engine set where the bottom of the pontoons are 1 inch above the gear case or even with the bottom of the water intake ports on the lower unit.

TASHASDADDY,
Nice looking Pontoon Boat. You and your family will absolutely fall in love with it. I think the selling feature of mine except the nice looking interior and in great shape she is in is the ladder that actually stows under the front deck. Basically to lower the boarding ladder you just slide it out and lower into the water and you don't have to worry about it getting in your way on the deck when you retract it back and put it away, becuase it stows underneath the front deck not on top of it. Every pontoon boat I have seen has had the ladder placed on the side on top of the deck. Again Congratulations, You know what I wish we all lived close by and we could start up a pontoon boat/fishing club that would be pretty neat. Take care, Bob:)

console panel done, am/fm and vhf installed, total rewire. removed helm seat as the area was too tight, and could not see over the bow. will mount and adjustable pedistal, with a butt seat/leaning post combo, had one on my center console before.

today is first Splash day.

Good buy.
They're hard to find here in MD at twice that price.
I've been looking for such a deal on one for a couple years now. I'm sure one will come along sooner or later.
They are becoming popular river boats here. There was a time not too long ago, you would never see one.
I'm envious.
I trust you'll post pics after restoration work.
Curious, are you going to stick with the 50 on the back?

well things went fairly well, no one at ramp, for a while. got the idle adjusted and settled while on trailer. found primer is not working. motor is set too low, throwing water up in front of the motor. then i think i got crud in the clean carbs, as it opened up nicely, then got a bog. was windy loading, definately getting Guide Ons. also follow directions on mounting steering helm, it's backwards, need to change holes with the cable. atleast the Jaguars don't play until 8:00 tonight.

Re: well i bought one. pics added

my 50 did the same thing ,, after rebuilding the carbs and it didn't fix the problem I cleaned the ground under the coil block and it took care of the problem, mine was also throwing water on the engine,, I raised it 3.5 inches and built several deflectors around the engine tray, big problem now is all the sea grass wrapping around the prop,, this time of year it is floating all over the place,, just finished designing and installing weed deflectors for the lower unit but haven't tried them out yet. hope they do the job because it drives me nuts to keep stopping and putting it in reverse every 2 or 3 minutes.

Re: well i bought one. pics added

we don't have the grass problem up here. but i think my boat was built for a short shaft, the 2004 is a long shaft, so i'm going to alter the transom this weedend. semi jackplate/transom elevator.

Ok, here is what i have done. painted stripped wiring, remove seat in front of console, and use original helm seat there, and move live well there. removed old console front, used bead board for dash panel, new helm, new switches, old am/fm/cassette radio, old VHF, guide ons for trailer, rod holders. waiting for new ships wheel, pedistal seat for helm. OH,Yes the Flamingoes. my neice is going to paint somemore graphics. found problem with carbs, when i rebuilt them, one carb, i put the low and high speed jets in the opposite orifices.

I have that same Fiesta Platform, tho' mine came to me with a different layout and a 4cyl/45hp merc. I cleared it off to the fence, with the exception of the console, and installed a couple of pedestal chairs. In addition I have several fold up tube and fabric chairs, tastefully bellowing FSU Seminole colors.
