Re: Pre-Made Boat Cover

i had one that was out of a box before. i now have a custom made cover that is made from aqualon. the custom made is so much easier to put on and take off. the other one would collect water if it wasn't stretched just perfect. custom is more expensive but after dealing with the other it well worth the money.

custom, not semi custom not mail order. semi custom, and mail orders are made to fit many boats an styles. if you want one to fit. have it custom made.

I agree - custom is the only way to go. Contact some local marine upholsterers and get various quotes. Make sure to tell them exactly what you want and exactly what you don't want. Good luck.

Happy boating.

I've got a Westland Sunbrella cover, its a custom fit cover from the iboats store. It fits like a glove!

I agree the only way to go is custom. I tried covers from overtons and they didn't fit right.

Re: Pre-Made Boat Cover

Boy, this is a year old thread. I'll update you on my progress.

Bought a Westland Cover and it did not fit....I don't mean it didn't fit right, it didn't fit...it was too short.

After returning it I bought a semi custom trailerable Carver cover and it has been fantastic. Since I wanted it for mooring as well as traveling I installed SS lashing hooks right on the boat rather than straps that go underneath.

It travels well and works as planned.
