Halloween is big holiday here what with a growing number of grandkids and all.
I have tombstones all over the front yard I make from scrap. I have enough materials to make at least half a dozen to a dozen more. I'm running out of names to paint on them though.
I have such things as Frank N. Stein, B. Weyer, Doug Deepe, Bloody Mary, etc.
It gets harder every year to think of new names.
I'm sure this creative bunch can come up with some good suggestions for me.
thanks

Re: Halloween inspiration

I had a pic of the grave yard but by the time I crop it down to iboats meager size limit...it's half a tombstone!

My grandson and I came up with a couple today....
I. M. Stinkin and spouse R. U. Stinkin

Re: Halloween inspiration

This was a tombstone in Boothill Graveyard outside of Tombstone, AZ:

Here Lies
Lester Moore
4 slugs from a .44
No Les, no more

A little long and poetic, but it made me laugh when I saw it.

Some rather thoughtful epitaphs

While living men my tomb do view,

Remember well, here's room for you

Remember this, a warning call

Prepare to follow after me

The wise, the sober and the brave

Must try the cold and silent grave

Time was I stood where thou dost now

And view'd the dead as thou dost me

Ere long you'll be as low as I

And others stand and gaze at thee

Here lies the body of Thomas Kemp

Who lived by the sword, and died by hemp

Time, like an ever rolling stream

Bears all it's sons away

They fly forgotten as a dream

Dies at the opening day

Stop by here my friends

As you pass by;

As you are now

So once was I.

As I am now

So you must be.

Prepare for death

And follow me.

Behold and see as you pass by

As you are now so once was I

As I am now you soon will be

Prepare for death and follow me

Behold and see as you pass by

For as you are, so once was I

As I am now, so will you be

Prepare unto death and follow me

Pennyless I did die

But don't you go and cry

For if you do some thinking

You'll find I had great timing

I.B. Crisp

Fixed the toaster with a knife

Got the Shock of his short life!

Sweet Rosy O'Grady

Carpenters daughter by birth

She got tired of living

And decided to leave this Earth

She swallowed a tape measure

But dying by inches is hard

So she went out in the garden

And died there by the yard
