2002 Johnson 115hp

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone can help me out. I'm looking to buy a 2002 Aquasport 205 osprey and it has a Johnson 115hp engine on it. My questions are is the engine a little small for this boat? And how are these engines? Thanks Joe

Joe, Punch up the NADA and see if there is a max HP listing for the boat. 75% of max HP is excellent. Less than that is a bit underpowered.

If that motor is the 4 cylinder 60 degree V motor, it is an excellent design, with lots or torque.

Thanks for the reply. It fits in the 75%. The max hp is 150 so that leaves that at 112.5. I don't know what the degree is. I'm looking at it this weekend. Thanks Joe

Its a 4 Cyl 60 degree V. I have the 2001 model. Great motor, lots of torque. Pushes my 17' deck boat through the water in the mid to high 40s so it'll move your boat.
