Gasket sealer

Does anyone know if the brush on type aviation gasket sealer is ok to use on the powerhead base gasket for my V-6 crossflow?

Many base gaskets come with a heat activated sealer on them and must be assembled dry.

Thanks Ezeke. I ordered the gasket from BRP so i will wait and see what it looks like.
The GLM gasket i have is just the common paper gasket.
Another good reason to use OEM!

It looks like the original gasket had some type of sealer but it was a yellow kind of color to it.Must have been a coated gasket.

gary permatex 300 or aviation the sierra and evirude that came for mine didnt have anything i used a light film of 300 on top and bottom to hold in place
worked great by the time ya read this you will probaly be finished ,

Thanks Benny, I ordered the gasket and should get it Friday.If the weather is ok i will have it back on this weekend.;)
