Hey All,
I've been working on a 46' Johnson TD 20 engine and all is completely restored, ready for delivery, but can't seem to keep the motor running. I've installed a new float, carb gaskets, all powerhead gaskets, you name it!!
If I keep pumping the push-prime, it will run for a second or two then quit. I've got rich blue spark that jumps a good 1/4", so I believe it's some blockage in the carb. What has me is that I've gone over it many times blowing out the channel ways, I can see light through each passage chamber and still not hitting.
Another note does anyone have good pictures of the butterfly in the venturi? I assembled it and I'm not sure if I have it backwards. If that matters. There was also a small spring, I believe, that goes on the inside of the throttle linkage. I usually take a lot of photos before I do the tear down and I don't have that angle and not sure of the assembly.
I need help on this... Am I missing something?
