Filling and Painting

What would be best to fill and fair the outside of the hull? Gelcoat is chipped to the fiberglass all over the boat.
Can I use Rustoleum marine topside paint to paint the entire boat? This boat will not be moored wet. It will be trailered home everytime. I was at Lowes today and saw a concrete waterproofing paint and wondered if it would have any use on a boat? Like maybe as a base coat?
I am not going for any beauty contests just safe functionality. Thanks

fot the farring......use marine tex or gellcoat.

for deep or larger areas...if you wish you can use peanut butter.

for very large areas......there are products like poly fair.....


for the paint....i would only use a trusted product on the bottom like awl grip or emmeron
