4.3 with vortec heads

just got my engine back together , install vortec heads and new intake , will there be any issues with carb as far as running lean ? its a 95 vintage with thunderbolt ignition, also how to time whens theres only one line on dampener ? thanks tim

Ayuh,.... What Carb,..?? It'll be Close,+ Should only need abit of Tuning...

You're not really moving More air,... Just More Efficiently...

There's usually only 1 mark on the Crank pulley...
There should be a timing Scale on the timing cover...

There will probably be some minor retuning, but the vac gauge and plug reading will tell all.

What carb is being used?

looks like a carter / edelbrock, ? nos 9600s, 8005:confused:

Ayuh,...

That Sounds like the Merc./ Weber carb....

It's a carbon copy of the Edlebrock performer,+ the parts,+ pieces are a direct interchange....
A Street/ Strip kit for the Eldebrock will give you Great Tune-ability....
