Etec Prop Suggestions

Upgraded the engine on a 24' Fisher Freedom c/w 26" toons, to a 2008 115 Etec. Would appreciate advice as to prop selection, personal experience etc. (Boat is rated for 150hp). Thanks.

well what prop do u have on it now? have u used ur new motor? lol i just was about to ask if u broke it in yet but i forgot etec saids no break-ins. well give us ur rpms and full throttle with the prop u have now if u have one. and i would suggest to make a post in the prop forum since its about props not mainly about the pontoon

sheesh 115 thats like a ba gillion dollars especially from etec bit pricey

Without knowing your present statistics and assuming a dry weight of about 2400 a 13" aluminum would deliver about 5,500 rpm 25-29mph.With a pontoon
this could vary quite a bit.Would be best to select based on actual statistics.
I would think the BRP dealer would let you try and select the best performer.

Thanks. No performance data available. Engines switched Dec 08, ice leaves in May. You have the weight about right. Dealer installed a 15. Thinking needs to be smaller.

Hi,
I'm running a heavy 22' tri-toon with an 07 115e-tec. I have found a cupped 13.5x13 SS to work best for all around use. I get 29mph (GPS) at 5700 rpm lightly loaded. I have also run a 13.75x15 alum non-cupped which returned 30mph at 5400rpm, also lightly loaded, but it did not hold well in the corners and was not happy when the boat was loaded down. I also tried an SST 13.75x15 and got horrible results. WOT = 5200rpm @ 26mph lightly loaded..
