25hp Johnson Year?

I'm hoping someone could tell me what year engine I have. Someone gave it to me and I'm going to paint it and fix it up.
The Model # is J25F1GTD (the 1 may be a L, not sure)
Ser.# is E5786227

Could those letters be J25BFLCT? That would be a 1983

I checked again and from what I can tell its Model # is J25F1GTD
(the 1 may be a L, not sure).

Then I don't have a clue because it's not listed in any list that I have. But I can tell you that under the usual numbering scheme, the two letters before the last (GT) indicate the year. The code word is INTRODUCES, where I=1, N=2, T=3, and so on. CT=83, 1983. GT is not an option.
