When the weather warms up, as it will eventually I hope, what is the first thing you are going to do to, or with your boat. New mods? New electronics? New fishing stuff? Myself almost all, bought a new antenna for the Cobra vhf I am buying this week. Will have to wait for the weather to install it. Still have to install the new seats I got a great buy on. Waiting for the Hummingbird gps fish finder to arrive, another spring project. Only 2 or 3 more months and can start to go!!!!

Gotcha!!!!!!!!!! :D

Just ordered a new shower faucet for the head. Only need to get a new upper helm shifter cable and distributor cap. Just have to wait and see what is under all that snow :D

I'm going to back mine in the water, fire that bad-boy up and go have a few drinks on the water. :D

I've got 90% of the mods done already. I added 3 amps, 2 subs, 4 new Infinity high's. I got the hand held VHF mounted, found a spot for the 12V blender and shampooed the carpets. Now I just need to buff it and install the drive shower and I'm good to go.

Oh.... I forgot to add that I just bought a new tow vehicle to make sure I get to the river without problems.

To heck with "fix this" or "replace that", my plans are to buy a new boat.:D

Not because of needed repairs to the current one, just a need to go from a deckboat to a pontoon.

Hopefully by time the weather warms up I'll have finsihed my remodeling project, deck, elctrical, livewell, etc. I plan to be on the water as soon as possible.

Usually I store my stuff over at a friends farm for the duration. But if they were out of sight, they would be out of mind and there are some necessary repairs before launching this spring.
The Merc on the skiff needs an impeller and another coat of varnish on the brightwork. I have a bimini and rails waiting to be mounted on it also.
The SeaRay has an oil leak (hopefully the rear intake manifold), and there's a 40 hp Merc I'm restoring. This is just the highlights on the boats.
Never mind the bucket needs to be put on the tractor, picked up a vintage garden tractor to restore - figured I would rebuild the Kohler over the winter (ha), there's a table in the woodshop which has been under construction since Thanksgiving, got some roof issues to deal with come spring, etc., etc., etc.
Hopefully, I get the boats done first so I can avoid all the rest.:)

LOL.
That was the short list.
Got wood to fetch, cut and split this week.
There never seems to be enough time.
I've been trying to thin the herd.
I got rid of four tractors last year, one boat and picked up another boat and tractor.
A crew of illegal laborers might be able to get me caught up!

Gotta agree with you DJ.

Went fishing with the kid Saturday and it was a blustery 45 degrees at 5am, by 8am it was T-shirt weather :D

Re: So now that i have stirred the pot...

We don't have winter where I am - just a three month series of cold fronts. In between those cold snaps and various responsibilities, I'm working on my '75 Thunderbird Cheyenne. I hoping to get a new floor in it, and build a v-berth with a port-a-potty and storage, by springtime.

In the mean time, my other boat just waits on the trailer for a few "goof off days" when the weather is nice.

I only have a few things to do to the boat.
-Swap out the 4.3 V6 for a 5.7 V8, then get it running.
-finish tearing out the wiring from the old electronics.
-Install flush mount GPS combo unit in dash.
-remove the old am/fm radio from dash
-Install new VHF where the old am/fm radio was.
-install new am fm radio inside cabin, along with new speakers in and out, plus the 10" lcd drop down DVD system.(little lady says its a must!)
-clean 4 years of funk off the boat and make it shine!
-stop, take breath, have a cold beer, and enjoy the boat!
