Re: 1ft itus

My 2 cents, just saw a nice deck boat on ebay has the head in the passenger console, door opens and stand up as well.

You will need good power for the larger you go and your pulling a tube or skiers, so anything over 21 feet i/o 5.0-5.7 motor and merc or volvo.

Out board nothing less than 200 hp you will need it. And thats another question cause everyone will recommend one or the other depends on preference.

Now to storing it. Latter for the garage i would park it next to the garage maybe in a tent type garage, 200-250 dollars and leaves your garage for cars.

You can run a electric wire in there and a bulb or 2 and you can stand in the boat when it's in there if you want to work on it when it's raining.

Me i would buy a 2 years old boat they are going for half price of new, take your pick this is the best time of the year to buy one.

Good luck.

I live in one of them development, so can't park the boat outside. Lesson learned, don't buy into a development on next house. In Seattle it's tough enough finding a descent boat that works at a descent price. Everything is still as expensive as last year even with the boat industry in the toilet. I see alot more boats coming on the market but the price is still expensive. I'd figure a 2 year old costs as much as a new one now at the dealer! I'm keeping my eyes open though.

After further thought, I'm definetly looking for the snap in/out carpet. I called on a boat down in portland, really nice 20' campion about 12 years, I was excited as this was a good price too. The pics was very nice. He mentioned that he put in a new motor volvo 4.3 5 years ago ~8k and a new outdrive 7k last year as he hit something in the water. Has all the paperwork. Does this sound right for the cost to replace the motor and outdrive? This is an expensive mistake if you hit something on the lake. Anyhow, he goes and tell me that the boat is starting to have "soft spots". I was bummed afterwards. I really thought this was the boat. Search continues.

i bought a 19.6" bowrider last year, ist a good size for the 5 of us, seats 7, if i had it to do over,i would be looking at the 22' , since the 19 wont fit in my garage anyway.
