Setting High/Low needle valves

Hello All. I have it in my head that you are to set the High speed first and then the Low. If this is correct, can anyone tell me why the High is first? Thanks, Rick.

Correct. But don't know why. Just learned it that way from all the pros on this and another board. Run the motor up to speed on the boat and adjust the high speed to find the sweet spot, then richen it just a hair. Throttle back, come down to idle and adjust it the same way...to the spot where it idles best.

Yes correct. See Joe Reeves instructions in the Engine FAQs on the Repair and Maintenance index.

I guess the high speed setting will affect the idle setting.
