I found a prop in the back of the boat i bought and the numbers are hard to read. Anyway I can find out some info on it? It looks a lot better than the one that is on there right now.

We can't see it and you didn't give us a thing to go on so the answer is no -- we can't I.D. it. What you can do is measure the diameter. Measure from the tip of the blade to the exact center of the hub and then multiply by two (if it's a three blade prop). If it's a four blade prop, measure from one blade tip to the tip of the opposite blade. Then place a piece of paper over the numbers and rub lightly over the paper and the numbers with a pencil. You will then be able to read them. Post those numbers and there would be a fair chance we can identify it. Post what sort of vessel and power plant this prop was used on would help.

Knowing what engine you had does not mean the prop that you found is for that engine and without some numbers we have no idea what the prop fits. What you are trying to determine is the manufacturer, diameter, pitch and prop model. It can probably be safely assumed the prop is for the Merc but that's all you can assume.

The spare prop is a Mercury prop and it is a 19 pitch. Can't help you on the one on the motor.
