Welcome aboard!

Be sure to include any engine, and outdrive, serial numbers...when you get to those questions!

Decades of experience here...and just for the asking!

Welcome Travis!

This will be my first season with a 'real' boat as well, so you have good company and plenty of old school knowledge here as well.

Be sure to use the search here, as it will answer nearly any question you may have without having to ask. For those you have to ask, try to be descriptive (and include photos when you can) and someone will likely have an answer for you within the hour.

Welcome Aboard Travis.
I always wanted a SeaRayder. I want a later model, the 16' with a 175.
I saw one two years ago sitting onthe side of the road a week before Xmas. It had little hours and was cherry. but, the timing was horrendous.
I assume you have the 14' 90hp model?

Aw, that's just mean. You should have at least waited until he came across his first problem.:D
I don't know why, but half of those I've ran across were repowered before they were 5 years old. That'll burst his bubble!

Re: New to Iboats and boating

The good news is that it is basically a Mercury outboard motor.
I don't know what parts are unique to that drive train though as there were not many models with that setup. Mercury had a boat with that setup. I know nothing about the jet unit...that could be universal (?).
Other manufacturers made similar boats but with different setups. This is where you're going to get bit - having to to the dealer for parts. Hopefully you don't run into NLA parts. Once you get it together though, it'll be a cool ride.:)
Don't get discouraged (yet).
