it is going to be questionable, as they changed designs around 1976.

Not without some modifications. The 76 johnson 200 is a flatback engine. The 235 has the bubble back exhaust-so the powerhead is nearly 5" deeper. The midsection exhaust adapters are different for both engines. You might be able to change the 200 adapter to the 235 adapter.

It fit with no mods at all. lower houseing 1976 1979 same.
