hello,long time reader first time user.My motor seems like it dont get enough gas and it loses prime in the ball i have noticed this winter it is leaking from somewhere on the motor i have changed the fuel line a ball pump over the summer and did not help.when you mash the gas it stalls ond wont come in to it but sometimes it does.can anyone help?thank you

A primer bulb does not stay firm after the engine starts because fuel is being sucked through it -- not forced through it. Could be a fuel pump going bad. Have you changed the fuel filter? Water in the fuel? Plugs properly indexed? Are you and have you used a fuel system treatment. Might want to try adding SeaFoam to fuel. Could have a dirty injector. Carbon also absorbs fuel so if the engine has never been decarbed, it might be worth doing.

quick test for a fuel leak: #1 get a pressur tester (or a bike tire pump with a gauge in it) #2 prime the fuel system with the primer ball. #3 carefully remove the incoming gas line to the motor. #4 pressurize the fuel system to 5 or 6 psi. if the gauge leaks down you have a leak in the fuel system. it could be an external leak or a fuel pump diaphram leak or a vapor seperator needle valve leak. good luck!

Silvertip,Thank you for your help and info.How can I check the fuel pump or can I?I have changed the water seperator on it and i cant find a fuel filter do you know where I should look?I did put a inline filter on it when I changed the line.I did by new plugs for it and indexed them properly.I will buy seafoam and put in it.and how can I deal with the carbon issue?It has never been done.
