This is my first time to get on and post on a forum. I have my first boat. I have had it 1 year. It is a 20 ft alum. with a 1986 110hp Johnson.The motor has started to jump when you put it in reverse and give it gas also it has the oil from the gas leaking down the trunk of the motor towards the water do I just wash it down to keep the oil out of the lakes. would like to find a manuel on line

What's your model number. Do you have a power tilt and trim system?

You should not have oil running down the outside of the midsection.

Unburned oil and gas mix will run down with the exhaust and exit near the bottom of the midsection and out around the propeller.

I mean that it is oil residue and dirt my thoughts are that the exaust leaks maybe I looked for a moldel no. didn't come up with one I know that it is a VRO v4 110 Johnson I have the ID No. it has tilt and trim reverse is the big problem thanks for your response

look for a sticker on the transom mount, or a silver disc on the power head, usually near the back on top. it should have model and serial # on it.
