Have a brand new YAMAHA 50 2 stroke, even has carbs, on the truck coming from SEATTLE. Will be hanging it myself and am concerned with verifying the oil injection system. Tank oil level is simple enough to check for the alarm but am thinking in the back of my head that there is some way to measure the oil output at each cyl.
Had a manual years ago but it went with my last old 50. Isnt there some check out to perform? Will natuarally be running on pre mix until I verify the system is working. Also figure crossing the wire on the overheat sensor will be suficient to verify that sym. operation.
Am so happy, did not know they made these motors anymore. regards FRED

Re: YAMAHA oil injection check.

Trust it, they are pretty much bullet proof.

For peace of mind - While running in, and on premix, visually monitor the oil tank usage. Even after you stop using premix, keep an eye on the tank usage.

No need to measure anything, just take a looksee at the tank before each outing, you will soon become familiar with the usage.
