exhaust reducer/adapter

I have an '86 mercruiser Alpha One stern drive and I have exhaust silencers to put on the 3 inch exhaust tubes coming off the engine. The silencers are 3.5 inches in diameter. Anyone have any recommendations of where to get or how to make the proper reducers for this application? Thanks.

Ayuh,...

It sounds like you're trying to put OMC exhaust parts onto your Merc...

I take it you've got Thru-hull exhaust,..??

How about Explaining What you've got,..?? Motor,..?? Year,..?? Fill in all the blanks,..??

Sorry, I didn't look far enough back to see the other thread. Yes, dual, thru hull exhaust. '86, 5.7Liter mercruiser with 3" exhaust tubes and the silencers are 3.5" in diameter.

A quick search on Google for 3" exhaust adapter gave a slew of choices and prices. If you have a muffler shop in town, they would make a couple for a lot less than what I'm seeing. Only you know what the dimensions need to be as far as length goes. Shouldn't be that tough....
