Alpha 1 out drive ?

I know the question I'm asking maybe common knowledge but I want to be sure. I downloaded the manuel for my correct year from stickies. I own 1996 Searay 175 five series w/ a 3.0 LX connected to a Alpha 1 outdrive (ser,#of530668) does that signify that it is a Gen 2 being that it was manufactured after a certain year? I want to do maintenance that I was unaware of until being educated from reading post's and threads on this forum.

The GenII drives were introduced in 1991.

You need manual #14

Learning something new everytime I'm on here. 1/2 way decent on the motor end of boats but becoming more familiar with the outdrive and whats needed to keep it in good shape with the knowledge sharing here in this forum. Thanx 180shabah and I did download #14 and from reading so far I have been overlooking numerous items no thankx to the clymers manual the merc dealer pawned off on me. Hopefully I will be awlright after 4 seasons of just changing the lube every season. I'll find out in a week or 2 when I open up the outdrive.
