LED Lights

Hi all, I have a 19' run about and would like to add LED lights to the 5 storage areas and the engine compartment. I have an unused switch at the helm I plan to use. If you have added LED lights, I'd appreciate your input and feedback. What LED lights did you use? I'd like to stay with a plug and go and not have to worry about resistors but will if needed.

Did you wire them in series or parallel?

Parallel, all + tied together and all - tied together.

What type of LED lights are you going to install, rope, pods, purpose built fixtures? I picked up some rope lights off Ebay and also considering some pods for compartment lighting,,, but going to see how much light the rope LEDs throw off before doing the pods.

Rope light's under the gunnell ,light the floor of my 16.5 hewe's very nice for just moving around the boat at night.

I put in some amber LED truck clearance lights under the gunnel to light the floor at night. Enough to see well, pretty cheap, night vision is not badly affected, and it doen't draw the bugs
