I figured my best best to find the mower I wanted was to just ride around and look and forget checking sales adds for stuff they ant got. I went to several box stores and found one tonight for less than 900 bucks. Has the same features as another brand that cost 2oo bucks more. Its a murray 42 inch deck 18HP briggs. Plan to pick it up Friday .Its a niceun,,,,,,,,,,this is the real deal.

I've had good luck with Murry. I had a Murry mower and rototiller and had no complaints about either one. I would say you did ok.

Just a suggestion..... re-tighten all the bolts and connections when you get it home. Not bad lawn tractors but assembly methods need to be checked.

Yes the first murry I had had some bolts fall from deck and caused damage. I found this jewel at ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,home depot.

Hehe, take the pulley off the driveshaft and put some antisieze on it. You'll thanks me in a few years.

I have a 71 ford lgt 100 and an 77 (i believe) cub cadet 1220. these were built so well, I'm not sure I could go buy a new any kind of tractor. the 10 hp ford tractor has a bigger frame then my truck
