looks like new 2-4-c grease to me. right down by the lower pivot point of the gimble housing (gimble ring) that gets 2-4-c for pm. did ya grease that lower pivot with a lot of grease? when i grease mine there i can see the old grease and new come out of the pivot as the new is pumped into the zerk... maybe just over greased?

i put a lot of grease everywhere but i can't understand which is the point you are talking about. What i' m afraid of is the gimbal bearing area because there are signs of corrosion there but it seems to be far from the exhaust hole.

in s/m #4, pp 1-6. under lubricating swivel pin and hinge pin. letter D is the lub point i'm refering too. the bottom swivel pin. the pin that allows the gimble ring to pivot port to starboard, that allows you to steer the boat.. the bottom pin specifically...

If your referring to the 2 holes on either side, there exaust reliefs, and there should be no grease coming out from there unless someone put it in there.

you consider it imposible to have any connection internally with the lubricating passage of the gimbal bearing?
