can anyone help find the make model yr with just a serial number?

it is a boat i am looking at buying and i think it is a 28 ft fiberglass boat, single engine straight inboard. the name plate is gone but the serial number is strf18820778-f8. with the strf i figured it may be a starcraft but i don't know if they made any 28 ft fiberglass boats. thank you for any help. jt.

It is probably a 1978 Starcraft. The "78" before the -f8 would be the year.
