I am not so DUMB as to know that this is posted in the wrong spot but simple don't have the time to wait 5 to 8 minutes to get loaded on anouther place.
Just recently I spent the money to go to high speed wireless so I could load pictures and etc. faster, and I love it it is lighting fast, except here. Don't anyone care about the time we waste trying to help others with their problems, is it because we are so dumb as to do it for free. I am sick of spending a couple minutes answering a question and then waiting as long as 8 minutes to get it loaded. PLEASE fix your problems, I can only urge people to go somewhere that works with their help. I for one am gone intill some problems are fixed. Later Bob.

I guess I just figured it was something with my Internet connection or my computer. But I'm guessing I am not the only one having trouble. Hope they get it squared away soon. It gets pretty frustrating having to wait so long to go to the different threads. Best of luck.

I agree, the site has been very slow on occasion lately. Probably a tech level glitch on the host's hardware or software that needs fixing. Hopefully they are working on it , if only to get Laddies back. His advice and experience is what makes this site so worthwhile. Just my thoughts...

Wow, can't imagine how frustrating that must be. I have semi-highspeed (2MB/sec) and I can browse from page to page here with virtually no delays. Pages and images pop right up.

I am using Firefox ver 3.08, on a 2.4Ghz Dell laptop on a wireless network, maybe that makes a difference?

I've heard complaints about the speed of this site before, but I've never noticed any problem, until about a 1/2 hour ago-- iBoats seemed like it was down. Seems ok now though. But for the most part the iboats forum loads fine for me. Maybe it's a regional thing(?)

I have absolutely no problem moving around this site or posting pictures. I use photobucket to host my photos and I have all sorts of software to keep my PC operating properly. Browsing issues are generally more PC related than internet or service provider related.

I can see exactly what it is. But, that's what I've been doing to make a living for the past 30 years. I'm not sure why the do the updates the way they do, it certainly is not industry standard. My guess is that their web hosting service is less than adequate. Or, worst case, they are trying to do this in house with a shoe string IT staff.

For what it's worth, I've been using the Mozilla Firefox Browser to access this site for about the last year.

It's a lot faster on this site than Internet Explorer - even when the board is working well.

I am glued to this forum evryday reading and trying to retain the knowledge. This is by far the slowest site I visit on a daily basis. I will continue to visit everyday because of the knowledge and insight that it brings.
