I just purchased this motor. The throttle handle and assembly seem to be messed up. Anyone have any ideas about where to find these parts? Looked around on the internet, but they don't seem to be available.
They appear on eBay with some frequency as well. What exactly is your problem? They are a sorry excuse for good engineering. It is normal to have a great deal of slap in the 9.9 throttle. If you remove the parts and clean and lube them it will free the mechanism up. You have to set your expectations rather low for throttle response but the motor will still run like a fine watch.
