what should the compression be for a 2000 250hp v6 johnson ocean pro?

welcome to iboats!!

not sure....not even sure there is a list of specs..at least i dont know of one..but that doesnt mean a whole lot.....

the main concern is if they are all even ie within 10% of each other......and i would think you would want it to be over 90 for sure....but dont quote me on that......and fyi most comp gauges will read a lil different. the only accurate way to check comp is a leak down test.

what is a leak down test? i did a compression check on the left side of the motor(starter side) from top to bottom 110,110,105 right side 110,115,110 my concern for this is bc i just bought the boat and was told the oil injection work and i ran the boat for bout 20 mins and then come to find out the oil injection oil line going to the motor is pluged and the oil injection pump electroic connector was unhooked. what else could this have mess up? thats why i wanted to know what the compression is. thanks

those numbers sound good to me

make sure ur oil injection is working though and would suggest to use mixed gas if ur unsure thats its not
