can u reverse a omc mount control

I have a mariner 60 hp, year around 2001, bought a omc mount control wired it up and had to get extensions for cables, hooked the cables up to the engine and when box is in neutral the engine is full throtle, the cables is pushing instead of pulling, can i reverse it ????????

Probably not. Universal style controllers have several hook-up points for various makes. Brand specific controllers generally don't have the extra connections inside...
