maybe 2 year old gas

well i bought a boat and it was last used on 07/08 and i think the gas is 1 1/2 or 2 years old, now i know old gas is no good but i have half a tank.... so my ? is that if i have 1/2 tank of gas can i add gas stabilizer and then fill up the tank with new gas?

Pump it out and run your lawn mower with it. If your mower won't run it, set it in an open container and let it slowly evaporate. Don't run your boat on bad gas, they are evil enough as it is.

You could always give it to your worst neighbor for his car, then laugh as he has to drop his fuel tank and replace the fuel pump! Always an encouraged alternative, hehe

07/08-04/09 is a ways off from 1 1/2 to 2 years. Have you tried running the boat with the gas in it? You could add fresh gas, but yours is seemingly not that old. Put muffs on it and try it.
As evil as Lowkee is, that's funny.. But he's right, if your mower won't run on it, your boat won't either. I'd suspect yours is ok though if July was truely when it was last run.

Ayuh,... The Best Test for old Gasoline is the Smell Test....

If it Smells like Gasoline,... It still Is...

sorry my mistake its not july/08 (07/08) its the year 2007 or 2008 when the boat was last used.
