Vinegar and water rinse ?

Read a few times that members use vinegar and water to wash off wax on polyester resin between coats.

Normally I use acetone for the cleaning, but would like to try the vinegar and water wash.

What's the mix ratio to use? Also wondering if distilled water would be better than tap water due to the lack of minerals.

Thanks!

Mark.

Viniger and water works on epoxy, it won't do anything to polyester.

Polyester needs to be sanded well for it to bond if the resin has wax in it.

That is if it was allowed to cure and become tack free.

Thanks for setting me straight on that one! I've been sanding, then wipe with acetone to get off as much dust and leave a clean surface. I'll just stick with what's been working.
