I have an aluminum boat that has some kind of limey scale on it.. it almost looks like dried concrete or a thick coat of lime.. What is the best way to remove it?
This is probably way out in left field, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that some sort of scale could be the result of galvanic corrosion, which is caused by aluminum coming into contact with another type of metal (such as brass) and the boat being used in salt water. The trick with tinnys is all fittings should be made of aluminum or stainless steel.
