Dual on board charger

Hello,
I am full steam trying to get ready for the summer season. I purchased a dual battery on board charger from Bass Pro shop. I mounted it in a rear storage compartment 12hx12wx18d made of heavy plastic. I noticed that the unit gets quite warm and I was wondering if I should be concerned about the location as long as I charge with the lid open?

You should be fine. I have a 3 bank charger from Bass Pro that maintains my batteries and i leave it plugged in all the time. If your still concerned you could always put a small fan in the hatch. Not only will it help keep the charger cool it will held dry out any water you might have gotten in the hull.

My onboard charger runs warm too, but I don't think it's a problem, just the nature of the beast.
