1961 75hp johnson throttle and shift control and cabels

I just got a 1961 75hp and i need the throttle and shift control and cabels. Does anyone know were i can get on cheap or desent price? Our are there any other control and cabels i can use?

Welcome to iBoats.
Depends what control box you get. You can likely get them right here from iBoats. You need to be aware there are different ends for cables and of course different lengths. I've also seen used control boxes and cables advertised online.

Search iboats or elsewhere on the net for "control cables." There are two types for OMC (Johnson/Evinrude) control units - Type 400 are the control cables with set screws to secure the end fittings, and Type 479 are the ones with press fit ends. Look at your present cables to determine which type you need.

You may also see a series of numbers printed on the casings of the cables. If so, you will be able to provide the numbers to the supplier of the new ones, so that they know what length you need. Be sure to check both cables, because different lengths are sometimes used to account for the longer length needed to reach the far side of the motor.
