I have purchased a 1973 V 160, as my wife and I did not want to junp into something that we may or may not use. Our boat has a solid florr except for a soft spot that is between the two sets of seats. I have been trying to figure out how difficult it would be to replace the floor. As I have read everyone is talking about transom's which I have no idea what they are talking about. I do have good experience working with wood and power tools.
Also, there is no id plate in the boat, it has a merc 50hp outboard. My question is do I need a bigger motor as we plan to pull a tube. I also received a johnson 60hp, motor with the purchase, but it needs the lower end to be reasembled as the old one was not drained and cracked.
I have no idea where to start any help would be grate.
Thank you,

Congrats....

The forums at classicglastron.com are also a great resource for information, to compliment the iboats site.

Would love to see some pic of your boat.
