Hello

first time at this I have a 84 evenrude 70 it is cold nature from first start up to the last start up. I have to choke it all day, after start up it runs great, but some days its fine with no problems then next time back to choking it. I have had this problem from day 1 (new) have learn to live with it over the years. New fuel lines is the only thing i have replaced on the engine any help on this will be great!

Sounds like an intermittent loss of fuel pressure. Less fuel means less air needed.(choke)
Need to check for anything blocking/reducing fuel. Check for any air leaks in fuel system.

sounds like idle speed adjustment is slow. need to speed up idle just a little. if the only thing that has been replaced is fuel lines, you are overdue for maintainance. carbs cleaned and rebuilt kits, water pump kit, did you now have alcohol resistant fuel lines from tank to carbs.
