Bayliner front seat storage

Has anyone tried to make storage compartments under the front seats. I have a 1989 Bayliner Capri, (new used boat owner) it looks like it could be easly done?

The seat bases are full of foam. If you don't mind removing the safety value of the flotation foam in favor of storage, then go ahead.

The flip side of the coin is that depending on the condition of your boat, the foam may be water logged and should come out anyway.

Thanks, for the info! I will probably do a little drill hole and use something to see if it has a water log problem. I'm totally redoing the interior and some parts. Looking forward to a fun summer!
