Nice boat free also should i snagg it?

I know that the floor and transom are probly bad but i like the look of them.
I really like the glasstron. No trailer but Willing to bring them to me.

Any one know anything about them ?

no such thing as a free boat. i prefer the lower picture, but i like the oldies. has original controls and cable pulley steering.

I tell her Because we can afford it.

I love the old Glastrons, kinda got that ol' 57 Chevy look to them. Makes me happy. That said, the top boat being stored the way it is, hopefully with the plug out, may have suffered a bit less.

I wouldn't bother with either one of them unless you were going to strip parts and sell them.
It would cost to much money to get them sea worthy.

I see free boats with trailers and non running motors in better condition then those regularly on craigslist. Where you live it might be a little tougher to get a free boat then my area since there is alot of water around here.
When someone posts a free boat on Craigslist you have to jump on it usually within 1-30 minutes of it being listed or else someone else will beat you to it.

I bought a boat similar to that old Glastron awhile back. It had a 1980 Evinrude 15 hp motor on it that I wanted. I stripped the boat and sold the parts on ebay and recouped my initial investment of $200. I hauled the boat to the dump and kept the outboard and trailer.

Good points..that have been discussed ad nauseam. However if you're doing it becuase you enjoy restoring things, and you would like to own a real head turner, that there will likely not be another on the water, both of those would be fun projects...just not cheap projects. You will never make a dime on the project, but there certainly would be a lot of pride...which has no monetary value. I envy those with the drive and determination to restore some of these old boats...cause it sure ain't me. The glastron looks like a great project as all the badging/trim appears to be intact. Something that car restorers really look for (as well as solid frames, and mostly intact parts).

I wont beable to seethem till july that when there being brought here.

And by the way i live in northern Wisconsin acctualy the county i live in and the next one have the highest consentration of lakes in the world. I live on a lake and have about 12 lakes within the mile of my house . Pretty awsome !!

I like the looks of the glasstron but will have to admit I like the top boat better it just has that classic SPEED boat look to it . I wouldnt mind finding one like that in my area especially for that price.
