Obviously I am new around here, but hopefully you guys can help me out.
A few months ago, I bought a 1995 Challenger bass boat that had been sitting in a barn. After going through all the tune up, clean up, and water testing, everything seems to be in working order, except...
...the small leak under the console.
Here's a description. When sitting down, the carpet gets wet about where my feet end (I am 6 foot tall). If you are looking towards the front of the boat, there is a black tube that runs to the front live well. However, the leak starts about where the guages are, and a foot or two away from the live well tubing.
Over the course of the day, enough water will accumulate to splash in it. Therefore, it's not a tremendous leak, but a leak nontheless.
I have been under the boat and can't find a hole. The mechanic who did all the work on it thought it might be the speedometer. However, I have detached and reattached all the tubing back there.
After all of this, I really am a loss of what to do. I suppose the leak could be so small that I can't see it in the tubing.
Anybody have any other suggestions, or ways to check the tubing?
Thanks,
Captain Chunk
