Hey guys, had a bit of a problem with my motor this weekend and looking for some help.
As you can see in the picture this little rod ended up in my bottom cylinder and did some fairly decent damage to my piston. Cannot tell at this time how much damage is done to the cylinder, but it cause the motor to lock up completely.
Does anyone know what this is. Also how expensive is it to change a piston and smooth out the cylinder wall. Thanks in advance

Looks like a needle bearing from your rod. Cheapest guess for one piston, one set of rings, and bore of one cylinder and hone the other, misc. assorted parts you will need, plus a crankcase gasket set, and you doing all the work yourself, I'd put it around $500 minimum.
I'd guess your piston wristpin retainer clip came loose, let the wristpin move, which then let your needle bearings between the rod and piston come free, and one ended up in your cylinder. Others would easily be in the crankcase around the crankshaft causing even more damage. DO NOT run the motor until you find out what happened to it.

Thank you for the input. I have not even turned the key so don't have to worry about me running it.
I am planning on doing the tear down myself. Not much but some mechanical experience with autos only. Hopefully wont be to much different
