Hello everyone! Silly question here, is there a database of scrap boat parts in the USA that wrecking yards would have access to? Locally our scrap yards (for vehicles) seem to be on a database sytem, if they don't have a part you need they look it up on the computer and find who would have it. I am looking for random parts for a 2005 mirrocraft dual fish and ski and have had no luck on the net.
Anybody know of some great resources for sourcing parts? New to the whole adventure and would love to buy used versus new.

Thanks again!!

Re: national scrap boat directory

hi.....welcome to i boats.

as far as you question, i dont know of any.

however, most boats are the same, not like cars.
boats are built from parts from various subcontractors.. other than the hull and cap/liner just about the only specific parts are the windsheilds, and most of them are made from 2 or 3 different jobbers. any other parts are uasually generic.

what parts are you looking for?

Re: national scrap boat directory

Thanks Ooops! Figured it would be worth asking. The parts I am looking for are for a mirrocraft boat 2005. Steering/guage console to be particular. I can get it new but I would rather see what I can get used first. I am in Alberta so there is not much for boat yards here, I have a buddy in vancouver looking for me as well, they have a far bigger industry there so I may get lucky.
Do you know of a place where one can post parts requests and be contacted if someone has what I need?

Thanks again!

yeah, bond-o is right.....craigslist is really good.
better in the states than alberta.

i dont know where you are......but the bargan finder worked really good in edmonton and i think there was one in calgary as well.

if you are in pinkdeer you have the best of both worlds......and the peace country has eagle outlaw marine....(but those are mostly tinnys.
