Bravo III coupler

i'm getting closer to the b3 drive swap from the alpha.
the parts list i found showes two couplers for my 88 454.
#18643 coupler
#861523 coupler-round

the first one looks like the one i have now. its tri-angle shaped and $100 cheaper than the one listed as coupler round.

i think i need the one listed as round. is this correct and will it come with the grease zirks on it so it can be greased in the boat?

You are correct with your assumption. The triangle shape one is for the alpha drive and the round one is for the bravo... See attached from the Merc Manual...​

Oh, yes they come with new zerk fittings... or at least the one I bought did. It can theoretically be greased from inside the boat, but it depends on your specific application as far as difficulty. ​
