I am remounting my trolling motor (foot controlled bow mount). Am wondering why all mounts I see are on the left side when facing the bow instead of the right? Are there any problems or issues with mounting on the right or is it just preference? Any opinions would be helpful. Thanks.

Not all are. Lots are mounted on the starboard side. Mine is.

does it make any difference? because most of the bass boats I see are port. Is it just preference?

Re: Trolling motor mounting question

I will take a wild guess....... "most" streering is mounted on the starboard side and it is to maintain a clear area of view. I really do not think it matters so mount it where you want it.
