What year of a Tohatsu M40C ? prop.sice?

It`s seri.number 66117, and it also stamped 361A,what year is it ? it`s delivered with a tohatsu propell # 345-64 102-0, what diameter and pitch is it?

We don't use years as the model number is used to determine what parts the engine needs. The prop is a 10.31 D X 12.68 P.

Thanks for quick reply.The man I bought the engine from did not no what year it was prodused, the engine has never been used its like new. Its a short shaft,manuell start,tiller handle,two cylinder, 2-stroke model.The color is grey.

TG is correct; the model is the identifier, not the year of manufacture. Our service manual for that model is about 5+ years old. The newer motors -- for the past few years -- are "aquamarine blue", which is pretty close to black. You can contact the factory at http://www.tohatsu.com/contact.html to see if they have a manufacturing date for that serial number.

Need help again, my prop is from a M35A with 12 spline !,look like somone have chanced the lower unit to a M35A model. The problem is to get a spare prop. to my engine, all the props.I have find is to 13 spline axel shafts.Anybody have props to 12 spline ? Is it posible to chance axel shaft to a 13 spline? I think my gearchase is 3.5" same as 40 hp models.
