Fiberglass or what else?

I have a "new to me" 79' raycraft tri hull bassboat. The floor needs to be replaced. This is the question. What is the best Material to use besides fiberglass.

I just found my camera so i will have pictures soon.

Welcome to iboats!!!

Plywood sealed up and coated with vinyl or durabak or paint (with some grit for non slip).

Let me be the first with the warning....... rotted decks are easy but the real monster is what lies beneath the deck Take some time to read the forums and don't be afraid to ask questions and use the search engine. About 100% of the problems have probably been covered.

while your replacing the deck, make sure that you don't throw anything out that is not totally trash.

as for other decking options that prefabed vinyl material used for decks at your home look pretty good

Fiberglass and poly resin around good wood is all you need.

Thank You for your help guy's. My problem is the "DECK" is rotting and fiberglass is cracking i hope there isnt any more than the "DECK" rotten. I will find out memorial day. by the way it is a 78'-79' raycraft v150. I dont know if it is a standard or pro model. If anyone can tell me what to look for that would be cool. I wasnt sure if i wanted to use wood fiberglass or aluminum with vinyl over it.

Did you tear into you Raycraft?s floor and have any pictures or info to share? I have a 1969, 14? Raycraft that has developed a soft spot in the floor. I have info and Pics posted in 2 post under wickware at the address below. Please share any pics or info you found or learned.
