How hot is too hot?

So I'm in the middle of my restore.. Almost ready to start glassing, but I need to grind out a few more things. I've made some wicked progress in the past week, but today temperatures are in the mid-80's here in NE Ohio. I worked for a little bit this morning, but just can't take 85 degree temps along with my respirator, gloves, and tyvek suit.

Plus I managed to grind about a 1/2" gash thru the hull today while trying to get a stringer out. It's one of those "ugh" days.

Anyone else having one of those?

...aaaah feels good to vent!

I know how you feel. It was 92 here yesterday. Way to dang hot to be out working. I'm doing little things at the moment. We have rain moving in so that will cool things down to do bigger work.

I start early, then go to the boat shop for more toys whilst its hot, then come back as the sun gets lower.
Keep yer resin on the garage floor or basement floor.

Re: How hot is too hot?

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I've set a deadline of July 4th to get this all done, so its hard not to spend every waking hour working on her.. It's almost a compulsion - "I've GOT to get it done!"

Got my biax from US Composites Friday, the resin is still in transit - should get it by Wednesday.. But good tip about leaving it on the garage floor.

Back to the grind... literally.
