That is some great work and the progress is overwhelming. Can't wait to see what she'll end up looking like with the helm/dash reinstalled.

Do you plan on taking her out on Lake Michigan or Lake Erie for the sea trials?

That old girl will be loving some 3-5ft swells in one of the big lakes.:D

I'm off for a 3 day vacation to ride steam trains (my other hobby) tomorrow. headed up to trainfest where they are going to have 8 steam locomotives in operation this weekend, including my favorite the Daylight from Oregon. www.trainfestival2009.org

Very cool. I'm into O gauge trains myself. In fact 3 friends from a train club I'm in just left after an evening of running trains. I'd love to have made it to train festival but just couldn't swing it this year. Have fun!

HA, Maybe not the first sea trials, but she will get the feel of Lake Erie walleye landing on her nice new Durabak deck

Nice boat shaped tin can you got there! :p Just kiddin ya! I love that design, reminds me of an old brownie camera for some reason. Should be a real head turner on the water. Really coming along to, Looks good. I am going with a similar paint scheme. (darker grey, same blue, w/ blue accent over grey hull) I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. Keep up the updates. (between you and me, I am going to get my own tinny one of these days) shhhh.

Drewpster- get a tinnie, come to the dark side:D

Well, I got back to work today on the cabin wall, and test fit the side panels, needed to do a little trimming, but went well, just needed to take 3/16 off the bottom of each (better than needing to put it on:eek:) also made a temp gauge layout on some cardboard (will post for advice soon) I am thinking of splurging and going with this unit
http://www.raymarine.com/ProductDetail.aspx?SITE=1&SECTION=2&PAGE=227&PRODUCT=398

Can get it for 259, and resell my airguide and faria pitot speedometers on fleabay. I have heard that paddlewheel style gives the truest spped reading, and also works well at trolling speeds. Besides, it's just so dang cool:D
