1975 40hp is sluggish

took the boat out for the first time this year after rewiring the motor and putting new coils on it. from the hole shot it was sluggish and it didnt seem to run very fast. is there any adjustment that have to be made when new coils get put on the motor. by the way the motor ran smooth at low idle.

sounds like clogged high speed jets in carb. if you haven't replace all fuel lines tank to carbs with B-1 rated alcohol resistant fuel lines. (ethanol)

i will clean the carb before i run it again and change fuel line. the hose from the tank to the motor leaks alittle bit.
